Abstract and multi-layered, my paintings explore subjects that might be usually be considered inconsequential,
unattractive or even disturbing. Through
a process of deconstruction, I seek aesthetic satisfaction in unexpected places – and my discoveries are the focus of my work. The finished paintings are often appealing at first sight, yet they retain hints and traces of
their origins, inviting close inspection. I hope to beguile,
intrigue and provoke the viewer, taking them back
through my creative process so they too can find fascination in
things they might otherwise ignore.
